·      Receive, store, and present digital credentials;

  • (ii) Generate and manage cryptographic keys;
  • (iii) Receive notifications;

This Privacy Policy describes how Blerify collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the App and related services, including the developer tools and the website located at https://www.blerify.com (collectively, the “Services”).

Blerify Wallet is a non-custodial solution. We do not collect any personal information from users upon the creation of a profile. We do not have access to your private keys, verifiable credentials, or identity documents. All sensitive data is stored locally on your device and may be optionally backed up to your private cloud storage, under your exclusive control.

Please read this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Services.

2. Information You Provide

While using the App and Services, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

Transaction Information – Your private cryptographic keys, credentials, and identity documents are never transmitted to or stored by Blerify. These remain under your exclusive custody. However, to enable verifiability and service continuity, we may process and temporarily store (i) the date and time of profile creation, and (ii) your Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs).

This information is not considered personally identifiable and is used solely to generate anonymous analytica and facilitate interactions between holders, issuers, and verifiers.

Information Shared Voluntarily – You may choose to interact with third-party services or verifiers using your wallet. Blerify has no visibility into, nor control over, the content of such disclosures. You are solely responsible for what you share with third parties when presenting credentials and sharing data.

Customer Support – If you contact our support team, we may retain the contents of your communications, including your name, identifiers, email address, or other metadata you voluntarily disclose, solely for the purpose of resolving the request and improving our services.

Usage and Diagnostic Data (Pseudonymized) – We may collect technical and performance data, such as (i) error logs and crash reports; (ii) generic analytics on feature usage (e.g., credential issuance flow completed); (iii) device metadata (e.g., OS version, device model); pseudonymous IP address and push notification tokens (if enabled). This information is collected in a pseudonymized format and is never used to personally identify users.

3. How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the limited information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Services in a secure and privacy-preserving manner. This includes providing the Services you request, responding to customer support inquiries, analyzing service usage and performance on a pseudonymous basis, investigating potential violations of our Terms of Service, and delivering essential updates or notifications as permitted by your communication preferences. We do not use your information for advertising or behavioral tracking, and we do not sell or monetize your data under any circumstances. We will not use your information for purposes other than those we have disclosed in this Policy without your explicit consent.

4. Affiliate Sharing

If you choose to link your Blerify Wallet with affiliated services or connected accounts, we may share limited technical information with such Affiliates or integration partners solely for the purpose of enabling interoperability and providing the Services you have requested. This sharing is subject to appropriate contractual and technical safeguards and does not include access to your profile data, private keys, credentials, or other sensitive information unless explicitly authorized by you. You may manage your integration preferences and connected accounts through your Wallet settings at any time.

5. Marketing

Blerify does not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize your personal information. Any communications you receive from us will be limited to essential updates related to your use of the Services or to optional features you have expressly enabled. Where permitted by law and your preferences, we may contact you with product updates or announcements strictly related to your use of the Blerify Wallet. You may manage your communication preferences at any time through the App settings. We do not send third-party marketing messages, and we do not use behavioral tracking technologies for advertising purposes.

6. How Your Information Is Shared With Third Parties

When you use the Blerify Wallet to engage in a transaction or establish a connection with another user or organization, such parties may have access to limited information necessary to facilitate that interaction, including your decentralized identifier (DID), credential metadata, or other relevant data you consent to share. Once shared, such information may be stored, retained, or re-shared by those third parties. Blerify does not control or monitor how other users or organizations use the information you provide to them.

7. Information Shared Through User Interactions

When you use your Wallet to interact with other users or connect with organizations (e.g., to receive credentials or services), those parties may receive limited profile or transaction information necessary to complete the interaction. For example, a verifier may receive your decentralized identifier (DID), credential metadata, or proof of validity.

Any third party with whom you interact through the Wallet may store or further process the information you voluntarily share with them. Blerify does not monitor, access, or control these interactions and is not responsible for how third parties use or retain such data. You may disconnect from these organizations at any time through the Wallet interface. Notifications or messages initiated by such third parties may continue until you explicitly revoke access or terminate the connection.

8. Communications and Notifications

Blerify may send you technical, legal, or service-related communications related to your use of the Wallet, including changes to the Services, security updates, and information necessary to ensure proper functioning of the App. These communications may occur through in-app messages, push notifications, or emails, depending on your device settings and preferences.

Additionally, third-party entities to which you are connected through the Wallet—such as credential issuers, verifiers, or affiliated organizations—may also send you notifications or communications through channels facilitated by the Wallet. These notifications are not managed, monitored, or accessible by Blerify, and you are solely responsible for managing your connections to those entities and for reviewing the content they may send you. You may choose to disconnect from such third-party entities within the Wallet interface, in which case such communications will cease. Blerify has no knowledge of the content or timing of such communications and disclaims any responsibility for them.

9. Third-Party Services, Diagnostics, and Legal Disclosures

We use third-party service providers to help operate, maintain, and improve the performance and reliability of our Services. This includes infrastructure providers, crash diagnostics services, and analytics platforms. These providers may temporarily process pseudonymized technical data, such as crash logs, error reports, performance metrics, or your device’s push notification token. This information helps us detect bugs, ensure service availability, and enhance the user experience.

These service providers do not have access to your profile data, credentials, or cryptographic keys, and are contractually required to process data solely for the limited purposes specified by Blerify, under adequate security and confidentiality obligations.

Additionally, we may disclose limited information:

  • When required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or competent authority;
  • When necessary to detect, prevent, or respond to fraud, abuse, security threats, or violations of our Terms;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or other corporate restructuring, provided that the successor entity assumes this Privacy Policy or offers equivalent safeguards.

10. Transfers of Personal Data Across Borders

In connection with the provision of Services, Blerify Inc. may process and store personal data on servers located in jurisdictions other than your own, including in countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Such cross-border transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and are subject to appropriate safeguards, including contractual commitments and technical and organizational measures designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data.

These transfers are carried out solely for the purposes defined by the data controller (typically the issuer of a credential) and under their instruction. Where Blerify acts as a data processor, it does not determine the purposes or means of processing, and ensures that sub-processors—such as cloud hosting providers—are contractually bound to provide an adequate level of protection consistent with the obligations set forth in this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

If you reside in Panama, please note that in compliance with Law 81 of 2019, Blerify may store and process your personal data in the United States through providers that implement adequate security, privacy, and confidentiality safeguards. Such processing is performed strictly on behalf of the data controller and is governed by agreements that uphold the principles of legality, purpose limitation, proportionality, accuracy, and security, as required by Panamanian law.

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that your personal data may be transferred internationally as described above, and that Blerify will take all reasonable measures to ensure such transfers comply with applicable legal and contractual requirements.
